I try to pick up NDT's books whenever they come out, so when I heard he had a new book I put a hold on an eBook copy of it with my local library. When it became available, I read it, but it wasn't what I was expecting...
The book attempts to represent both sides of some arguments within our society today, but especially from the eyes of science. But it does it in a way that's more often condescending from the ivory tower of academia and oppressively scientific and rational (without understanding that when discussing political views, there isn't always an ivory tower to come from).
I'd pass on this one if you're at all in doubt.
It's a fast read, and I generally agree with his philosphy and generally appreciate where he's coming from.
Who is this meant for? He's not going to convince anyone that doesn't already see it his way.
I usuall enjoy NDT, but I didn't care for this. 2 out of 5 stars. It could have been worse, but he should spend his energy on other things.
