I made a little box that exposes two buttons. It allows me to control things such as skipping commercials on my Tivo or changing the page on an eBook when I'm exercising on my rowing machine and can't do these activities normally without stopping.
The box houses a microcontroller (ESP32) and a battery and the other components needed to pull this off. It communicates over wifi to what it controls.
In the immortal words of my wife when she saw it: "It looks like a bomb".
